Sunday, July 25th I was invited to share with the Society of Romena, a time of celebration and also for reflection on the way that this fraternity has made in recent years. The theme around which we were invited to follow the echo of the biblical text from the prophet Isaiah: enlarging the space of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your habitations be saving, stretch cords, strengthen your stakes ... (Isaiah 54:2). The day it was set around the image of the "path". So, accepting the invitation, I tried to read out loud, these intuitions, dreams, desires that the Society of Romena, she has pursued for many years. And to introduce myself on this trip, I thought that perhaps the most beautiful to represent a path is, again, water. 'S why the first part of my reflection I used a video found on YouTube, which has as its foundation the Queen song "We Will Rock You". Thank you so who shared virtual spaces of this You tube video (www.spazio.libero.it) that I was inspired and which, together with some friends, I ventured to interpret, adding a few phrases or keywords, to share my insights. Far memory of a path not just to remember the location of the Fraternity of Romena but the paths in general. The text of the song that accompanies the video is very eloquent in this regard. The video points out the fact many different paths and newspapers, perhaps some of us, the strangest routes: internal and external long wandering; long exodus of so many people tiring and heavy footsteps of those who feel that life is more than walking wandering, perhaps without knowing where to go, kicking cans down the street, as the song of Queen. Paths a little 'complicated, maybe not identified among those officially recognized as "spiritual", but still trails and paths of the spirit, even the restless spirits, ie those routes most secret parts of the "read" us. So perhaps this really is an "ode to the path", to all those attempts of many people or life in general, seeking to proceed in the story. Ode to the most obscure routes, paths of evolution of species, atoms, stars, micro-organisms. Ode to the those paths at once obvious and hidden like the eagle in the sky, the serpent on the rock of the ship at sea and man in a young woman, as she sings the Biblical Wisdom (See Pro 30, 18-19). It sounded to the path of the water, yes, the water with her anarchist history. Along each journey or path many things happen, as we see in this short video, which I would like to give a title and I'd call it: "Proceed fluids. E 'on this fluidity, which, strangely perhaps widen the curtains ... expand the spaces ... you walk not taken the time, but with it, learning to know him. In reality, a fluid is a state of matter that is deformed or unlimited flows (liquid, gas, plasma or solid plastic). Particles that can be removed indefinitely from each other. The ancient alchemists said that the fluid is a substance that passes from one body to another, it emits heat. I know very well, instead, that fluid can give rise to speak today of much criticism, just think of all the modern interpretation of the liquid according to the philosopher Bauman. Today it is said that the fluidity is the most serious disease of our society, new generations have been subject to constant change. But maybe that's why we have to redeem it, because walking the walk of fluids is also confused and decided our time, but still capable to take his life. Perhaps this confusion in our contemporary world, it is because we are accustomed to thinking paths as something evident, in some recognizable way. But instead we try to remember that the dimensions of life are not all so recognizable and so obvious as we think and the steps of our wandering, as the psalmist says, too. Proceed fluids, therefore, also means learning to move forward in those paths less obvious, perhaps quieter than we think. On the other hand, when the pilgrims or hermits, seeking spaces of silence and walked some roads or paths, to discover was precisely those transformations quiet that only the wandering of the heart, mind, of life, can recognize. The path sui generis water, I personally do not evoke the life that flows on the surface, but so smoothly. The water path perhaps most recognized as a cycle, something that we recognize as a cycle in itself. The cycle, an ancient Greek word roots. Cycle: turn, twist, move, roll, circle, ring. Something that comes back and returns, for example, of years, something that we return to reconsider or to count again, every time we seem to have done. In this case, attention is on this particular subject that is water in its deepest and most hidden or obvious metamorphosis. The water-this subject, that before be defended has always defended, has created opportunities and possibilities, the water that in recent times we have again awakened to protect, for which the water in Bolivia 10 years ago there was a war, we suffer, but they also rejoiced, for her defense, secure, free, realizing that his release was also ours. The water, therefore, a political, social, community, but of all, a good that the public is much more than being secret because it actually follows its own laws anarchist: the absence of essentials for its secrecy and abundance for the its constant flow. Water, with its ability to abuse, sometimes a "being" in excess, as some say, that leaves overwhelmed, scared, but also surprising. And 'the water that reminds me so beautifully, a journey, even in its most cyclical. The path is very special, because it evokes something that knows how to take the shape of the person who collects or what passes through it, so its path, which becomes a cycle, emphasizes not only his way of being, but leave room for forms, matter. The water that collects this tastes and smells of the land that runs (for example the rocks with their mineral salts). This is not a finished item, arrogant, but an element that takes and brings with it issues that in themselves are not his and then is enriched. But even surfaces that come in contact with water are no longer that of the first, because the water removes or returns something, and when it is consistently on time, change, leaves its tracks, creates paths that others may interpret and turn will inform. It is not a neutral element, passive, but turns, it moves in life and life moves or, sometimes, the moves. An archaic element of the origins of the world, a liquid element, we sometimes destabilizing. Brain water (85%), water kidneys (83%), muscle water (76%), blood water (92%), water bone (22%), etc.. etc.. Water tears, in agreement with our efforts, but also our joy, emotions, passions and dreams. And then, perhaps, in addition to the cash flow, our path is something important, the effort of this insecurity, but at the same time, force insecurity, not to see the result of not knowing the end and continue along . But, as we said, in the path that sometimes, even in our life becomes heaven, so many things happen. All these words that I added in the video, perhaps remind us of this. rebuild : I would like to clean and remove all those cliches that are generated around this term. In reality reconstruction, combined with water looks like a paradox. Yet this word is associated to a fine or a cycle path, for ourselves off, we think that some originality to be coated. The verb did not build its synonyms, or in its morphology, a very good sense-almost-the Boy Scout building that comes from the Latin verb construire indicates an effort, tools: collect, put together, shows a pile of something that is mass. In other words it is a slow dial, putting more things together. Our routes are in fact not so perfect or clear as we think, let us be piling different aspects of life, not all like that tune, gentle to each other. Perhaps the ode to the reconstruction, it means knowing how to hear this, however, put together, actually something very true in our world, but still difficult, since we are still and always attempted to redefine themselves, self-centered in our inner visions. Renew -renew : From the Latin re-innovate, this compound: the prefix "re" as repetition, and innovate, that is new. Doing something new, repeat or replace something already with a new one. Even our move or expand here, not as original as we think, not without the other and without the need of others. Among the repeat or repeat and the ability to replace, and also interpret it again, with all its political and social values, as well as individual and personal. In the world of biblical wisdom is this strange way to stay alert, a constant invitation: I make all things new ... but even that, most of the time in quiet strange transformations. It happens with what already exists, remove both the new and old (Matthew 13:52), probably the hardest thing of the renewal is to admit that there is already something or someone, that makes me grow ... If this request is because there usually is not so obvious: the cycle of this renew and renew is almost always secret, occult obsessions of our evidence. But the Scriptures are full of these existential photosynthesis taking place in these strange recycling of life. Growing : e 'a verb very nice, but maybe a bit' dangerous ... related to the increase of something. Occupy more space to fill, taking up space for others ... It 's very nice then grow, as a relationship with life, but also a responsibility, a different feeling, sometimes bears the signs of a change and a different time, the signs of maturity, the wrinkles, the fleece on the body ... not always politically and socially the growth of a company was something beautiful for everyone, but it happens, every word we say, is this beautiful self-criticism that we must constantly for not go on the surface. The same could be said of the verb prosper. This term also falls into this logic of the increase and then getting this strange and beautiful paradox. I think of Francis of Assisi, he had restored the Porziuncola, but faced with the construction of certain spaces, it reacts by throwing everything down again. I will not say more about this episode, I leave it open to interpretation but there return to the fluidity, remain in constant equilibrium of strange life, alert to each and every security fixism useless. The need to construct towers to be somebody, but also a strange malaise that follows. So, all these verbs, verbs are not quantity, but of loyalty, care the growth of other around us. A transformation, a step, an exchange, a physical phenomenon that consists in the fusion of two liquid mutual influence, a journey into one another. And so on: fertilize, from the Latin ferre, to bring ... A term related to a job, a caring of something, like ability to change the chemical properties of existing ... a start of processing cycles. And then melt : detachment, which indicates that something is left open and free, but comes off, because all the vital link has two phases, allows us to free ourselves and liberate, but perhaps to liberate and free we must be more subtle and fluid, and, as in the video, go through the bars that are likely to remain still. So grow up, grow with the metamorphosis of the other, the differences and despite everything, most human processes that have the power to turn off unnecessary and destructive fires, even here as in the video, the man urinating on and off the fire: ammonia interior, a real gesture, done so many times by so many, to protect the police from the gas discharge on the numerous protests of the people. It 'also so that nourishes life, but is also informed of life. This life that we would like to light as a dream, but also definite and enduring, such as' dare on the things of life, about ourselves, the cosmos. Light, like the lightness , one that supports the water and bears; network of molecules that weave a surface on which those who are light in character, in his dream and desire ( intellectual freedom) can walk, as happened with Jesus Light, said that, as Italo Calvino - every branch of science seems to tell us that wants to show the world stands on thin scale: as the messages of DNA, the impulses of neurons, quarks , neutrinos wandering through space since the beginning of time ... E 'therefore, with these powers, now and always, we would rethink our routes and also those of history as well as those beautiful of God, as the Psalmist sings: your way to the sea, your path through the mighty waters, but your footprints were not recognized ...
